Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME. My kitchen needs some fun colors to get out of the gross typical “kitchen of the 2000s” with cherry cabinets and gross gray/black/brown speckled granite.

ADLER ME! At the moment, I’ve added some color to my kitchen with a bowl of beatiful (and yummy) granny smith apples. I also have some red tomatoes sunning in the window sill. I’m just loving my beautiful, colorful, and edible kitchen accents right now!

We just moved into a new home. It’s got a 1960’s feel, so we decided to play up the retro and paint our kitchen bright teal. We absolutely love it!

ADLER ME! We are still in the tearing out pages in magazines looking for inspiration phase. We have our first baby coming in January and with lots of places to spend money this would give us a perfect start! Still exploring color choices-this would be perfect to help make a decision.
    Thanks!

ADLER ME! Apple green/white checkerboard floor, deep reddish countertops, yellow walls, a Rasta kitchen! The tiles were bought on the cheap from Habitat for Humanity store, they are retro linoleum tiles. I’m sewing up cotton curtains in a deep orange with the green and white in a kinda sorta 50’s block print. Very happy kitchen!

ADLER ME! My wife and I are still in the process of remodeling the kitchen in the house we just purchased, but so far we painted the wood paneling (that is in approximately half of the kitchen) a much lighter color to brighten the room and laid a dark hardwood laminate flooring over the old linoleum. But the most colorful thing in the kitchen so far is a cut out bookshelf we built in near a walk through we cut out between the kitchen and the living room. We painted the back wall of the shelf a darker red color which really pops against the other neutral colors in the kitchen.

I get splashes of color from my gold and burgandy dining room which can be seen from several places in the house. I know, sounds hideous, but it is actually more subtle that it sounds and works well with the rest of the art work i have dotted around my house.

We chose a marine blue/grassy green/khaki palette for the living/dining room. I think it’s so funny that “avocado green” is an option for the sinks, since I tore out the avocado green oven and stove when we bought our ’63 ranch-style fixxer upper!

I brought some fun (red!) color into my kitchen by painting just one wall – an accent wall. The rest of the walls are a light tan color and the ceiling is a darker tan color (I’m not a huge fan of the ceiling color – it came with the house, but it matches well enough that I’m not ready to tackle it yet.)
