Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

My walls are all neutral (cream and grey) so I bring in color with bright accessories and art! My living room is Dark teal curtains with persimmon orangy red and yellow accents and my kitchen is grey walls with aqua and yellow. Every room in my house has a touch of teal or aqua to tie the all together.

Just moved into a new house and the kitchen is in decent shape, but we’re still deciding on paint colors. I picked up a nice colorful rug for in front of the sink and bright yellow and lime dish towels, pops of color!

We have cherry cabinets, dark granite counters, and cream walls, but I have a number of cobalt and depression-era purple vases and containers on the window sills, which look great in the sun.

“ADLER ME!” Our kitchen currently has 3 different types of cabinets all painted the same white, whitish-gray tile, blue-gray walls, and is in desperate need of a makeover. While we work on saving up though, we’ve brought in bright colors with the curtains and accessories like a lime green towel hanging on the stove, green rugs, and bright green and blue vases on top of the cabinets.

“ADLER ME!” The main way we bring color into our kitchen (which has white subway tile back splash and white cabinets) is a bold yellow dutch door that leads outside. Next to that yellow door we have a half wall painted with a bold navy paint and a curtain with both colors brings it all together. :)
