Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

We are currently renting to own a house, which means keeping the walls white until we purchase. :( BOO! So to add a pop of color, we painted our 4 kitchen chairs a different bright color to match our fiesta ware! We have a red, yellow, teal, and lime chair and one of these sinks would be a perfect addition once we make the purchase in December!

We went with a strong color for the walls in our kitchen – a rusty orange. We unfortunately are stuck with green countertops right now but we hope to remedy that soon!

ADLER ME! Our kitchen is still lacking in color. I have visions of bringing in a colorful backspash and painting our island navy or teal… but haven’t made the plunge. Right now we get color through linens & accessories. I think the sink will be a great starting point!!

I love this giveaway. We have some color on our kitchen walls (which the previous owners picked), but did not put our own touches on it yet (after two years, sigh). It is a nice robin’s egg type blue, so for now I just added splashes of yellow here and there (bowls, dishtowels, vases). Works for now. The Jonathan Adlers sinks (yellow or blue would make a great eye-catcher!

The only colors in our kitchen are black, brown, & cream. We went with a neutral ‘foundation’ for the kitchen and we haven’t found an inspiration for color… yet! Maybe a colorful sink will help add a few pops of color…

ADLER ME! We are currently renovating our 1972 house and I painted the original cabinets a muted turquoise color and I’m hoping to accent with some yellows and brighter turquoises. We will be making a wooden countertop out of scrap hardwood from our floors (we’re on a pretty tight budget). A new sink and faucet would be amazing and would round out the kitchen. :)

I added a small area rug for some cushion while we’re standing at the sink. It has a snappy floral print that ties in our celery green walls and vintage dish towels. I also like that the rug breaks up the monotony of our tiled floor. Love your blog! Keep it up.

We are in the midst of a kitchen renovation. In the works for nearly 3 years and finally getting somewhere. We have 3 little ones so the process has been slow going, but we are finally at the point where we are going to begin shopping for sinks and faucets! We are going with grey cabinets, white walls and bringing in color with flowers, towels and window treatments. Fresh cut flowers bring in beautiful color and make any room look finished to me.

The way I have added color to my kitchen is by leaving our vase full of fake huge sunflowers hanging out on our windowsill in front of the sink. Other than that from having moved in 3 months ago we haven’t even touched the kitchen yet, so a new sink would be ab fab!
