Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

With white cabinets covering much of our kitchen wall space, I had to go a little darker with the paint color so I chose succulent green and pop different shades of green all over the kitchen from limes in a glass vase on the table to all shades of blue/green vintage bottles arranged on top of my cabinets.

We have a lime green kitchen. It’s the only place in the house that hasn’t been painted. We’ve put it off because we’re getting ready to demo. But the lime green is horrid, horrid, HORRID.

ADLER ME!!! My kitchen has way too many earth tones going on!!! To brighten the place up I add fresh cut flowers from my garden which definitely helps. The kitchen is the next major project on our list, and I would absolutely love a bright, beautiful, happy sink and faucet to get the ball rolling!

    ADLER ME!

We just bought our first home, and our kitchen is light grey and white with colorful accents in teal, yellow, and pink. I spray painted my utensil holders in these colors and got some fun dish rags and towels to add more color as well. I would LOVE this sink, especially since we are saving up to buy a new one.

Sigh…the only color in our kitchen comes from my dish towels (we have ivory walls, grey-ish swirled tile, black grout, grey-ish counters and stainless steel appliances and only black iron acccessories). Our house is (still) for sale so we’re in that “we need everything neutral” stage.

ADLER ME! We have just “almost” completed a kitchen redo. The sink and faucet were not one of the things we changed because we were on a tight budget and well, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” right?. Well, truthfully, I’d love to change it so I hope I win! Anyway, we painted our walls a light blue green color and have a lot of white. For a pop of color, I’ve added bits of orange here and there. I’m really like it so far. We have a few more things to do but it is getting there. You can check some of the orange accents here: http://mojaneofalltrades.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
    and here:
    http://mojaneofalltrades.blogspot.com/2012/07/another-bit-of-orange-and-some-garage.html
I have posted on the whole kitchen redo in several posts mostly in June if you are interested in checking those out too.

ADLER ME! Our kitchen is sadly lacking in color currently. I change up the dish towels and pot holders every now and then, but it’s a tiny space that needs to be remodeled, so we haven’t gone all out yet. YET. A new sink would certainly provide some motivation :-).

ADLER ME! We’re just at the very start of a full kitchen renovation, so while I have a million ideas for fun colors in the kitchen, we’ll have to wait and see how it turns out. I’m pushing for some bright splashes in the backsplash, Partner-in-Crime prefers using the stuff on the counters like canister sets and the stand mixer – maybe we can compromise on an awesome sink???

We are about to tackle a MAJOR kitchen project in the next few months. I’m talking about knocking down walls, putting in a bar/peninsula for more counterspace, and building an actual pantry (our current one is 2 inches deep, no joke). A brand new kitchen sink would be AMAZING!!

To deal with our tiny kitchen in the meantime, we’ve painted it an airy light blue to make it appear bigger.
P.S. Love your blog! Such great DIY ideas.
