Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! We have a little too much color on our kitchen walls. We still have the wallpaper that was here when we bought our house. The wallpaper made up of clumps of apples, grapes and pears. Every color in the rainbow is in it.

ADLER ME! I have been obsessed with bright colored rugs and kitchen mats lately. My back begins to hurt after standing on our tile kitchen floors, so I’ve been filling all my usual standing posts with bright cushy comfort! Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the chance to win that fabulous sink!! Our cabinets are white with black formica counters (UGH – hope to replace that someday with some type of stone) so I painted the walls a soft green and put a brighter patterned green/black/floral rug on the wood floors.

    ALDER ME!

Kitchens are always a fun place to add color – I buy fun and colorful plates, pitchers, or just weird things and put them out on display in the kitchen. Currently, I have 3 very large lanterns on my island which I am totally digging :) They are a bluey grey and remind me of the seashore.

    ADLER ME!

We are so due for a kitchen remodel and starting the planning now. Between our beige cabinets, beige tile, and white walls, our kitchen is blaaaah. Right now, I bring color into the kitchen with a homemade chalkboard that I painted with a bright blue glossy frame.

A bright shiny new sink could be help our beige catastrophe! haha

ADLER ME! I like to keep my kitchen appliances stainless steel and black, so to add some color, I like bright towels and accessories that can be easily changed if I get tired of them. Also, I hope to re-do our boring backsplash in the near future.

    Adler me!!!

Since getting my first teaching job four years ago, I’ve lived in two rentals; first an apartment and a much-loved little green house by the beach. I’ve had to deal with super-tiny, super-boring kitchens in both, not to mention a tight decorating budget. When I found turquoise metal folding chairs with flower cut-outs as an interim furniture solution, I had no idea I’d still be using them four years later! I just love them so much. They really brighten up the space, and play beautifully off the blue-green abstract seascape that my sister painted for me. My husband and I bought our first house, and we move in August – can’t wait! This giveaway would be a great start on all the work we plan to do to the kitchen; we still can’t believe it’s going to be OURS!

My kitchen is the one that came with the house, it’s not bad, with cobalt blue counter tops and white cabinets. I have been bringing in pops of aqua and red whenever possible, and otherwise keep it simple with stainless or bamboo accessories. I would LOVE to add a pop of color with one of these sinks.

    ADLER ME!

My husband and I bought a little condo that we only plan to live in for a few years, but we want to make it nice while we’re in it. It’s in pretty bad shape, leaky windows, peeling linoleum floors etc. Anyway, to add fun color to our kitchen we painted one of the walls peacock blue! It looks amazing and makes our white cabinets look clean and new (but they’re actually really old and cheap)! I also like to add yellow, green, and blue accents through dishes from Anthropologie. It adds just enough color to make it work with the rest of the house.
