Fab Freebie: City Love

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

This week’s TWO lucky winners are… Maria G (who loves Kansas City despite being under 12-15″ of snow at the moment) and Fiona (who loves her hometown of Washington DC so much she even loves the traffic). Congrats you two!

Today marks the seven year anniversary of our move to Richmond, VA. Woo hoo! It’s crazy to think that it has been that long, and to celebrate this week’s giveaway is from a city-minded artist: Kimberly of Albie Designs. We’ve had her charming illustration of New York City hanging in our hallway o’ frames for as long as there has been a frame collection there (my sister bought it for Sherry for her birthday a few years back). And now Kimberly has released a Richmond city print. So whether you want her new RVA work of art, or others from around the country (and even the globe) you’ll get your pick thanks to the $100 gift card that she’s offering up to two lucky winners.

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card to Albie Designs on Etsy
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I LOVE [INSERT CITY NAME HERE]” and tell us…

I love Homer, Alaska! My husband and I went a couple years ago (along with some other Alaskan stops) and fell in love. The mountains, the water, the views. Breathtaking!

I live just outside our nation’s capital and I adore it. There’s so much important work going on (or sometimes not going on, ahem, Congress), it feels cool to be in midst of it all. The architecture is incredible. It’s a seriously beautiful city. Every morning on the metro there’s a brief stretch between Pentagon and L’Enfant where we’re outside, and the view takes my breath away every time. And there are so many cool cultural things–many of which are FREE. There’s so much to love!

We are raising our family in St. Paul. Both my husband I are born and raised ND kids and St. Paul was always the big family vacation growing up. Now we live here and have the city at our fingertips (well 20 minutes away from the burb we call home anyways). We love it.

It is a city my fiance and I keep going back to. We love the mountains, the food, the Biltmore, the beer, and so much more!

I love SEATTLE, ANCHORAGE, PORTLAND, and Orange County (CA). All the places I’ve ever lived. What can I say, I love the West Coast. The Portland one is a bit of a cheat: I actually went to school in Salem, which is about 45 minutes south of P-Town…

I love Paris! We did a whirlwind trip there for 4 nights in 2011. We stayed near the Eiffel Tower and walked by it everyday. We had an awesome trip and have even thought about moving there :)

  7. Sara says

I LOVE Seattle! I live about 45 minutes south and it is such a fun and gorgeous city. One of my favorite views of it is coming in on the ferry.
