Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

      WEST ME!!!

Everything has changed since 2007…I graduated college, started decorating my first house, work at my first “big kid” job and have become obsessed with making a house a “home”!

      WEST ME!

In 2007 I had just graduated from college, started my first serious relationship, and had no idea what I wanted out of a career. Four years later, I’m married to the love of my life and have my dream job in live entertainment. How time changes things! :)

      WEST ME!

      Since 2007…

Met a cute dog who happened to come with an even cuter guy.

Discovered that DIY concrete reseal is not for everyone. Especially in your spare bedroom.

Became an expert at chipping up concrete reseal.

Started learning how to white water kayak.
Became a well practiced doggy paddler.

Discovered that, thanks to craigslist, you too can become the proud owner of a skee-ball machine.
And yes, your boyfriend can put it smack dab in the middle your living room for your convenience.

Learned that some of the best nights of your life can be as simple as a grilled cheese-pickle sandwich (don’t knock it till you’ve tried it) and a 4 hour drive with the top down singing as loud and terrible as you can with the dork you fell in love with 4 years ago.

      WEST ME!!! Por favor!
My life has evolved a lot since 2007. Let’s see… I graduated high school have since lived in three apartments with roommates (which we all know can be amazing but challenging) and recently moved into my own one bedroom apartment. Having my own space has given me a lot of room to decorate in a way that really reflects my personality. Reading your blog has really helped me balance my pen chance for crazy prints with contemporary design in an affordable and thoughtful way. So thank you! <3
Now I'm about to graduate college and am currently applying for Graduate School. Perhaps a little TMI but who cares!

      West. Me. (!!)
Where to begin? Took a leap of faith with a hobby (love!) that turned into a job. And the best part was the man that stood beside me during it. He’s now my husband. Couldn’t be happier….

    WEST ME!

I think the real issue is what ISN’T different from 2007. New job, new city, married, owner of a cat. 2007 is 10 lifetimes ago for me.

WEST ME! And, happy blogiversary to you! Hope you have many more years of blogging success. Eventually, you’ll have to buy extra vacation houses to DIY – maybe a beach house and a mountain house? :-)

    West Me.

My life is so very different than 4 years ago. I mean, at the time I had a 2 month old and was sleeping very little. Now, I have a four year old and never sit down. Plus, we have another on the way. Whew. My how things have changed.

WEST ME! Wow, in 2007 I was living in Philadelphia getting my MBA. Now living in DC, working in Dallas, and racking up a lot of frequent flyer miles in between. Geographically, life has changed quite a bit!
