Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

We used to have the perfect view out our kitchen window until our neighbor installed his satellite dish directly in front of it. Boo!

    Blind me!

I once went to a fancy restaurant overlooking the city streets in a nice part of town. Imagine my surprise when the bathroom wall was a “cloudy” window from floor to ceiling! There were stalls, but a little more privacy would have been nice.

I would use them for my bedroom for sure! To I can quick ducking behind my door (we just moved into a new house…I don’t have blinds up…can you blame me?!?!)

As soon as we moved in we put up a window film similar to the one yall used in your basement. We knew no one could see into the window due to its height and angle but the adding the window film just made us feel better.

We need to block the view into our house from the steet while we work on renovting our old house a bit at a time! The renovation views leave something to be desired.

BLIND ME! I really need to cover my dining room windows. The curtains we have now are just not doing the job quite right!

  7. Kelley Gerace says

My husband and I just bought our first home, and we totally fell for the lovely window coverings throughout the main living areas. So much so that we never noticed the awful ones everywhere else! We need help to get some working blinds in our rooms (esp our bedroom to block out the morning sun)!

Blind Me! I have a bay window in my living room that is so big that you can see right into the whole room from the street! I would love to have some custom blinds made for a little privacy so i wouldnt have to have the drapes pulled all the time!

I would LOVE to get some blinds for my porch! When I am sitting out there, and my neighbors are sitting in their porch at the same time we can practly see everything they are doing and I would love to have some privacy!! : )

My front living room windows need some serious blinds. Right now they just have white sheers and the effect is a bit too bright sometimes. Also, we would love a bit more privacy!

    Blind me!

Our guest bathroom has a window on the front of our house in the shower that would show everything from the chest to waist region if we hadn’t frosted it. Yikes!

I’d love to cover up two windows in two different bathrooms that are just a stone’s throw to the neighbor’s house. ick! I mean I don’t mind it that much, but the hubbie isn’t too keen on the neighbors checking out our birthday suits while taking our daily showers. ;)
