Clue #5: Stuffed To The Gills
We’re back with the final clue about a major home improvement undertaking that has charged through Casa Petersik like a pack of wild horses. But first for the clue recap: we took our Christmas tree down a week early, completely emptied the guest bedroom, got pretty darn cold for a while and hung a sheet between the living room and kitchen to contain the renovation dust. Now on to clue #5: our kitchen looks like this…

Pretty chaotic, no? Here’s John blogging away in the middle of the craziness. It’s certainly a little crowded but it’ll be oh so worth it in the end. Stay tuned for the big reveal on Monday. And until then feel free to guess your little heart out one last time.

I’m gonna guess that you are expanding your master bedroom into what was your third bedroom (that had been your original dining room)
You are creating a master suite with a walk in closet and huge bathroom.
I would guess master suite as well – but then you’ll only have two official bedrooms… which might not be ideal for resale…
Can’t wait to see your new floors! It’s a pain, but so worth it in the end.

I don’t know what it is (but I hope it’s a nursery!!), but I have to say that I’ll bet you two are going nuts with stuff strewn all around your house like this! You clearly like things clean and simple and things put in their places … and now your house looks like — well, it looks like MY house ALWAYS looks!
But I’ll bet it made you both kinda twitchy while it looked like this.

Nursery?
Looks like you are refinishing your floors. Are you having them done professionally or are you doing them yourselves? What type of machine are they using is it one of those modern conventions that sucks up all the dust as it goes along? Inquiring minds want to know…especially since I plan to refinish the old floors in my bedroom soon.
enlarge your bathroom? Add a bathroom in ur master bedroom?? Well a nursery would be a good surprise! :o)
god i hope its not something as anticlimactic as refinishing the floors… the suspense is killing me!

Skylights?? new central heating system?? is that the reason you were cold? or maybe you were cold because they had to leave your front door open for awhile, or windows to vent? i’m going with knocking a wall down for some reason. that’s my final answer!
i was out of town for a few days and missed a couple clues, but i’m STILL holding out with my original guess: new floors!
I’ll hold off on guessing – but I will say that you can always tell a true blogger – they’ll blog through anything… not the least of which is remodeling chaos :-) WTG John!

But your floors don’t look like they need to be redone??? So how could that be it? Not sure, but guessing some wall is getting knocked out and something getting expanded.
