Oh Brother! (Or Sister?)

We’re excited to announce that the Petersik family is currently under construction. Our new addition is expected on May 19th. We’re thrilled, even though a certain someone won’t be the baby anymore…

BurgerBigBrother

Yup, Sherry’s got a proverbial bun in her proverbial oven. And we couldn’t be more elated to share the news with you guys! More details to follow on Friday (so ask any and all q’s and we’ll answer as many as we can at the end of the week).

Until then it’s back to before & afters and DIY ideas- we’re nothing if not home obsessed…

AHHHH!!!!! This is wonderful news! You’re going to make such a great family:) The moment my husband and I decided to actively pursue our family (as opposed to sort of “let” it in the first 4 months), it altered our entire relationship. For the good! Congratulations!

Congratulations! Wow, you snuck that one in on us…I had to read the post twice because I was mainly focused on Burger’s shirt and was like…”huh? does that mean what I think it means?!” :-)

If you are still having morning sickness (or like me, all day sickness), try some Preggie Pops. Lemon drops (the old-fashioned kind, NOT the Lemonhead ones!) and Jolly Ranchers worked for me in a pinch, too.

Happy and healthy pregnancy to you! (And can’t wait to see the nursery!)

I really hope this doesn’t wreck your blog…Pregnancy/mom thing has turned a few of my favourite bloggers into navel-gazing bores. And public baby bump pics creep me out. But, it seems to have become the norm, sadly.

Sam actually called me from his office and asked if I had “heard John and Sherry’s news”. How funny is that! So, I came right over to read your post and tell you that Sam and Jacci et. al. are **thrilled** for you :) Children are such precious blessings. Yay.

    Huge Hugs,

HOORAY! Babies are the best and you guys are too cute – you’ll make great parents. I can’t even contain myself. Must. See. Nursery. :0) Congratulations and I hope you don’t deal with much morning sickness. If you do: B6 and half a unisom (both preggo safe) can do the trick for a while. When you’ve built a tolerance to that (and you will, if you’re pregnancy is like mine) ask for phenigren. And when you build a tolerance to that (oh gosh, I know) ask for zofran. Zofran really did the trick for me – the only one that stopped all the barfing. Hang in there and if you aim for May 4th or May 26th, your little one will share a birthday with one of mine. :o)

Congratulations to you both from the UK. I guessed your news around the time when you arrived back from your road trip. I hope the tiredness is passing now Sherry, enjoy your middle months, and don’t tire John out too much (you know what I mean!!)

I have one piece of advice for you, given to me by my Grandfather, who enjoyed a very long and happy marriage to my late Grandmother:

“Arguments started after midnight do not count”.

Since you’re taking questions: Sherry, are you planning to take a maternity leave? Will someone be helping you and John with the blog those busy first few weeks?

This is some enterprise you guys have going and I hope you’ll be getting the help you need, with the blog and at home, so you can get to know and enjoy your baby without worrying about “us!”

YAYYYYYY!!!!!!! How exciting! You and Bower Power have been dropping hints forever on your blogs that you’ve had baby on the brain (like when Sherry gives a tour of your home and comments on the guest bedroom making a cool nurserey some day…someday soon!), and now the two of you are expecting! So much fun to be had decorating and with all the practice you’ve had recently with decorating your nephews room. Once again yay! and super congrats!

Omg. I can’t believe I was asleep during your annoucement!!!! I guessed that you were pregnant when you said “year of the baby” (or something like that) in a previous post. And also when the Bowers announced their pregnancy, and you had all sorts of tips… Yay!!! How good is it that you two will be having babies at the same time? I expect more posts together!!

I can’t wait to see how you do up the house!! We’re planning for a bundle next year; I’m not even pregnant, and I’m already researching ideas for the room!! Oh, wow, I am totally clucky…

Okay, serious time: Make some mood boards! Use that program that puts your faces together! Tell us how you found out! How you told your family! And tell us all the details of the pregnancy!! You guys aren’t just home improvers to us anymore, it’s like a little soap opera with houses I can actually recreate!

    Keep smiling!
