Now Expanding

We’re excited to announce that the Petersik family is under construction again. Yup, someone’s gonna be a big sister… and she’s pretty darn excited about it.

The proverbial bun in Sherry’s oven is scheduled to arrive in April, and we’re both elated to be growing.

Sherry’s first trimester wasn’t without a few trials (a fender bender that had us worried for a bit and some pretty intense morning all-day sickness for the lady-wife to name a few) but we’re so grateful that all signs point to a healthy little bun so far. Given Clara’s birth complications, this pregnancy falls in the high risk category (more on that here and here), but we were excited to reach the safe-to-share milestone so we could spill the happy news to friends and family this weekend (conveniently while Nonna was in town). And now we get to share it with you guys!

Since you’re a curious bunch, we figured we’d answer your questions in a follow-up post on Friday like we did the first time we told the interwebs we were having a kid. So ask away, and we’ll answer as much as we can at the end of the week. Until then, I’m gonna get back to working on the sunroom and Sherry’s going to do her darndest to keep her breakfast down, probably while painting something.

    Congrats! I am so genuinely excited for you guys. My hubby and I can’t have kids so I really do feel like I am living vicariously through you. Everyone else must be excited too as your site has been slow to load this morning. So what names are you kicking around? Personally I can’t wait until you get the bonus game room finished when they babies are older, I think that will be so much fun! Congrats again, the Wolves are very happy for you.

    Yay!! I’m due in April too. I totally feel your “all day sickness” pain…it stinks big time. I think I’m finally starting to have more good days than bad, and can only wish the same for you.

    Congratulations You guys! I am thrilled for you! I totally squealed when I opened your post this morning because I JUST found out yesterday that I am expecting too! We have had several early losses, so I completely understand the need to wait to share. Praying that the rest of your pregnancy will go smoothly!

    I was just thinking this the other day. Glad to know everything is growing well. Hugs to Sherry. I too had hyperemesis with both of my pregnancies and it is awful. Can’t wait to see the new nursery. How did you tell Clara and your family?

    Thinking all my good thoughts for you. (I was born after my mum had a placental abruption, her pregnancy with me was without complications – although they whipped me out early to be on the safe side!)

    YES! I had a feeling! This is amazing news, Petersiks! My best friend (whom I met you guys with in Toronto) is expecting her first baby around the same time… I think that will be great because not only will she be able to learn some home renovating tips from you guys, but also living-with-and-taking-care-of-a-baby tips, haha :D Congrats!

    I’m due in April, too (with my first)!
    (I just told my husband – “guess who else is having an April baby? Sherry from YHL!”… His reply was “oh my god.” I’m taking that as a sign of being excited for us both ;) )

    I’ve got my 12 week scan on Friday. (Now early Thursday morning here.) Am very much looking forward to it!
    I haven’t actually been sick – but I’ve had lots of queasiness, which I’ve been able to manage by eating almost constantly.
    I did some weeding on Monday (using a shovel – I’ve really let it get away from us) and then was rewarded by a day and a half of crampiness – so I’m taking that as a sign that this “take it easy” think people keep talking about is real… I should figure out how to do that, right?! :)

    Back to you guys – congratulations (again!). I’m so looking forward to being able to follow along with you!

    Congratulations! I was wondering if you would jump on the baby train along with Katie Bower again! It’s so fun to be prego at the same time as a good friend or family member! My cousin and I were pregnant at the same time (6 weeks apart) and it was so fun to take our birth class together, talk about what we were going through at the time, and have our babes grow up together. :) Congrats again!
