We are all extremely nerdy about a variety of things. Before the age of smartphones, my dad used to keep a dictionary at the kitchen table and try to teach us new words at dinner. On road trips, we play games that involve math word problems, logic, and vocabulary-boosting activities. I used to think the nerdiness was mostly from my father, but it’s rubbed off on all of us to some degree.
