FAMILY ME! We are a blended family, made up of myself and my two teenage daughters and my husband-their step-father. We’ve been married 5 years now and the thing that TIES us together is our individuality and expression. We have gauged ears, all of us. Change are hair color all the time and encourage my daughters to EXPRESS themselves. MUSIC is a HUGE part of our lives..both girls sing, one plays keyboard and guitar. My family has a tradition that’s been passed down since my great-grandmother. On your birthday you get butter smeared on your nose to help you “slide through the next year.” It’s an odd tradition but it makes for some great family photos, especially when you add in the “surprise” factor. I’m trying to make a “Butter Book” for my Dad for his birthday documenting past years of buttering noses in the family :-)
