One look at Pinterest and I don’t feel quite so alone in my fascination with maps. So to everyone else out there who digs a little cartography in their design, hold on to your seats. I’d have to say Illinois. It’s where we were born, grew up, went to college, got married and currently live. Most of our family still lives somewhere in the state! Second place would be Italy. I’d want a world map that I could hopefully fit in my future classroom or just make it the feature wall in a guest bedroom (inviting guests to somehow mark on the map where it is they came from), but if I were to zoom in, I’d either do the area in Italy my great-grandfather came from or Savannah, GA – my favorite city in the US!
