One look at Pinterest and I don’t feel quite so alone in my fascination with maps. So to everyone else out there who digs a little cartography in their design, hold on to your seats. This week the people behind Wallpapered are giving one of you a nice big 8ft x 5ft world map wallpaper kit so that you can add a map-tastic mural to your home. As much as I love the various world map styles they offer, the coolest feature (at least to me) is that you can also get custom area map wallpaper that basically zooms into a postal code of your choosing. So you could order custom wallpaper showcasing your favorite big city – or even the small town that you grew up in.

    WORLD ME! I love maps of anywhere especially old maps. If I had to pick I would go with a map of the good old U S of A. Great giveaway!

    World Me!

    I am most enamored by views of the world that are considered non-traditional. That’s when I love the world the most because it reminds us that the world is a sphere and that up and down is really a matte of perspective. Sorry for taking the question a bit differently.

    My favourite place in the world is Liverpool, UK where I met, fell in love with and kidnapped my now partner of 5 years. I am from Australia and we now live here, but Liverpool will always be the ‘specialest’ (It’s a word!) place for us.

    I’ve fought against it for years, but I have to admit that I love my city, Orlando, Florida. It’s so much more than people who only come to Disney think it is.

    But the weather here, that’s another story. I’ll never love that.

    I would have to say… Assisi, Italy. I went there on a pilgrimage a few years ago and it was simply wonderful. I loved walking in the footsteps of saints!

    WORLD ME! I’m kinda boring and grew up in Maryland. but it’s special to me because it’s where I’ve lived my entire life, met and married my hubby and am raising my kiddos!

    WORLD ME! This is a tough one. There are many special places that I hold dear in my heart….but I do think it would be cool to have a nice big map of the Hawaiian islands. I lived on Oahu for 2 years. That would be AWESOME!

    I’ll always have a place in my heart for Tallahassee, Florida. It’s the place where generations of family members are from, and I also met my husband at FSU. How could I not love it?

    WORLD ME!!! Paris has always been near and dear to us. El Hubbo lived there as a teenager and we honeymooned there many moons ago. Second would probably be Madison, WI where we met and which would make a really cool looking wallpaper if I do say so myself.

    I love traveling and have been to some amazing places so its hard to pick just one part of the world. I think I’d go with where I live currently, Vancouver, Wa. It is so beautiful around here and a map of this area is something that I would always treasure.

    World me!! I’ve always wanted the whole world on my wall, but hold a special place in my heart for Paris. The city of love and light. I’m hoping one day to spend my honeymoon there and perhaps my retirement.

    WORLD ME!

    I too have a map obesession (I actually do Geographic Information Systems for a living!). I love all the map related ideas I find on Pinterest. It is hard to restrain myself from overdoing it in the map decor department, but a think a wall mural map would be great in a playroom or office. I have always had a map on a wall, wherever I have lived.

    We are moving across the country soon, so I would love to have a mural of Portland, Oregon. I think it would comfort my homesickness and make me smile whenever I looked at it.

    WORLD ME!

    I think for me my fave place on a map has to be London – specifically south of the river. I grew up in the East End in SE10 & later moved to SW20 in Wimbledon. I was so lucky; every weekend my parents took me somewhere exciting – to see the well Ceasar drank from, the Natural History museum, the Space Museum, the V&A, Horseguards, The Serpentine, Downing Street, Cleopatra’s Needle… I would love a reminder of all my adventures.

    WORLD ME!

    i am in love with traveling and have a tender little spot in my heart for several special places… lived in the gambia, west africa for two years, honeymooned in puerto rico, explored south korea and beijing with my honey of a husband, and welcomed our beautiful daughter into this big beautiful world right here in seattle… this would be an amazing gift for our new home! thanks for the offer!!

    World Me! Have a soft spot for an area just outside of Baton Rouge. My grandfather bought land there to farm in the 1920’s, my father was born on the same land and my daughter and I now live on that land. It’s home!
