I realize from the name Online Fabric Store, you might have trouble guessing what this online store sells, so allow me to solve that mystery for ya. Fabric! And seemingly every kind of fabric – like upholstery, decor, quilting, apparel and even garden fabric. Which means that this week’s two winners (who are each getting $250 to spend there) could tackle anything from sewing some pillow covers or making a duvet to redoing the curtains in an entire room. And the cool thing about their system is that the more yardage you buy, the cheaper each yard gets – and once you get over that $50 mark, your shipping in the US is free.

Jennifer, "Jenny" says
Fabric Me!
As I have already seen a ton of Jennifers’ comments, my parents also gave me this super popular name. Jennifer was one of the most popular names in the mid 80’s. When I was little, I wanted my name to be Emily or Amy, haha. Since elementary school, I started to go by “Jenny,” which I like more and suits me better.
Mary M. says
FABRIC ME! I was named after my grandmother from Finland :)
Sarah says
FABRIC ME!!!
My name is so popular for the year I was born that 3/8 of my graduating class shared it… That’s not a fraction; there were seriously only 8 of us.
Chanin says
FABRIC ME!
I’ve always loved my name…and as a bonus I’ve never met anyone with the same name. It has Gaelic roots, but other than that I think my parents just liked how it sounds :)
Stacey says
FABRIC ME!
Originally, my mother wanted to name me Anastasia, which my dad vetoed — just as well, Anastasia Byrd doesn’t quite work ;) So, she settled for Stacey.
Laura says
FABRIC ME!
My name was inspired by my Great Aunt who died from spinal meningitis when my cousin was only three months old. She was my Mom’s favorite aunt and when she found out I was a girl, she told people she hoped I was just like my Aunt Laura. Apparently she got her wish. Laura died years before I was born, but people say I remind them of her. :) (I’ve never entered any of the sweepstakes before but I just found out two weeks ago I have my first little one on the way, and he/she is going to have to share our room for a while, so the fabric would come in way handy to decorate their little corner.)
Kim D. says
FABRIC ME!
My name is Kimberlee. My Mom told me that she named me after a character in a soap opera. Ah Ha! So THAT’s where the drama in my life comes from! Anyway, she wanted my name to be spelled uniquely, so she changed the typical “y” to “ee”. Too bad I go by “Kim”. ;-)
Lisa says
FABRIC ME!
My mom was convinced I was going to be a boy and hadn’t thought about names for a girl at all. Our neighbour suggested she might need one so I got Lisa (she liked it, and it couldn’t be shortened to a nickname) Marie (after the neighbour).
Nina says
FABRIC ME!
My nickname is Nina, real name is Christina. When I was about 3 years old, I had a cousin a little younger than me and she had a difficult time saying my name and would end up calling me Nina. It still sticks 30 years later.
Olga says
FABRIC ME!
My name is Olga, so yes, I’ve often wished it was different. Not so much now but as a kid and esp. a teenager, definitely.
Stephanie says
Fabric Me!
Mainly I was named after my dad, Stephen. It was also around the time that Stephanie Seymore was popular so that was an influence too.
Hannah L says
FABRIC ME!
…means grace, but no family/sentimental significance.
Haley McCall says
FABRIC ME!

NT says
FABRIC ME!! I was named for a tree!
Sallie says
FABRIC ME!

Liz B. says
FABRIC ME!!!! I am the first person in my family (mother’s mother’s, etc, side) to have Elizabeth as a first name vs, middle name. It was an every other generation’s daughter type of thing. :)
Mary B says
FABRIC ME! My parents named me Mary Elizabeth – two Biblical names – and that’s what they called me when I was little. In middle school I shortened it to just Mary because Mary Elizabeth is a mouthful. I wish I’d thought to shorten to Mary Beth but didn’t think of that when I was 11, ha!
Would love to win some fabric to try my hand at sewing a pouf!
Rachel says
FABRIC ME!
My name means ‘ewe’ in Hebrew. Imagine my disappointment at sunday school when we were going round the circle finding out that other people’s names meant, ‘warrior’, or ‘gentle one’. When we got to me, the teacher was so embarrassed on my behalf that she looked the name up in her other book as well, hoping for a more favourable meaning. Nope. Rachel. ‘Female sheep’.
Baaaaaaah!
Kristin says
Fabric me! My middle name Katherine is after my mom’s best friend, but she spelled it wrong!
Allie says
FABRIC ME! My parents got my name from Ali MacGraw (an actress), but always specified that they did not name me for her!
Kristen says
FABRIC ME!!!

FABRIC ME!

My dad actually picked my name out of the newspaper. The sports section, naturally.

fabric me please!! I’ve got chairs to re-upholster!!
Birdie says
FABRIC ME!
My parents named me Roberta but my older siblings thought it was lame, so they called me Birdie, and so did my parents so my real name never gets used!
Ashley says
Fabric Me!
My mom was a HUGE Full House fan. I think she secretly had me to fulfill her Michelle Tanner fixation. My mom probably had my name picked out before I was even thought of. I was “Michelle.” My mom’s cousin swooped in and used Michelle as her new daughter’s middle name and that just wasn’t going to fly for my big haired mom. She decided the next best thing was Ashley, after one of the Olsen twins who played Michelle Tanner. Now I get to proudly say I was named after an Olsen twin. Hooray for me!
Brooke Archer says
FABRIC ME.
My name came from a novel my mum was reading while pregnant with me. She said she fell in love with the name and the character who was a strong independant women. I was not named after Brooke Shields who was popular at the time lol.
Kirstin Jansen says
FABRIC ME!
Chantille says
Fabric Me! My name doesn’t have any meaning, but my mom had my name chosen years before I was born and wouldn’t tell anyone what it was because she was afraid someone else would use it! :)
Roxie Dimpel says
FABRIC ME BOTH my Maternal and Paternal grandmothers were named ROXIE….not Roxanne…just Roxie. I love that my name is unique and has family ties.
Kristen says
FABRIC ME!
I don’t really have an interesting name story, but my middle name is after an aunt.
Maggie says
FABRIC ME!!! My name is an old family one but is also inspired by Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May”.
Melissa says
FABRIC ME!
My name has no special meaning, but my mom always “knew” I would be a girl and loved the name Melissa. In Greek it means “honeybee.” And Sherry…I know how much you love bees!
Beth says
FABRIC ME! I was named after my mom’s good friend who was also her nurse that helped deliver me.
Sheryl says
Fabric me!!
I don’t know why my parents chose this name but it’s a good clue to figuring out the decade in which I was born…
Amanda says
FABRIC ME!
My parents just liked the name Amanda, but my middle name (Jane) is a family name.
Sara says
FABRIC ME!
My name means princess. Totally doesn’t apply to me but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Betsy says
“FABRIC ME!” My name is short for Elizabeth, and it is a family name, that I have now passed on to my daughter:)
Sarah P says
FABRIC ME!!
My name was just one that my parents liked… my siblings and I all have biblical names. Too bad it was also the #1 girls name the year I was born!
Courtney says
FABRIC ME please!
My parents wanted to name me Courtney Jordon if I was a boy or girl, so my initials would be C.J. like my great-great grandfather. My middle name is also after a creek where I was born.
Jen @ The Well Read Fish says
FABRIC ME!
Yeah, uh, my name is Jennifer. So that just means my parents were pushovers and settled for the popular name. But my middle name is Freida. It was my grandmother’s name. But it is also true that neither my mother or I know how to spell it properly. Freida? Frieda? It’s spelled one way on my passport and another on my ketubah. Thems the breaks. Brakes?
Kim says
Fabric me! My parents really liked my name…along with everyone else’s parents born in the early 70’s! As a result of being “Kim #__” throughout my school years, I vowed to never name my kids something trendy!

FABRIC ME!
No meaning behind it…but my mom did want me to be different so instead of spelling it the most common way – Crystal, she spelled it Kristal.
Bran says
FABRIC ME!
I was named after that awful 70’s song — or as my sister likes to remind me that I was named after a “waitress” that walks through a sailing town after the bars close down.
Lee says
Fabric me! My name is a combination of family names. They picked something that would work for a boy or a girl..and turned out that they got a baby girl
Kari Sauber says
Fabric me! My first and middle name are a play on my grandmother on my mothers side first name. Her name was Caroline, and mine is Kari Lynn
Siobhan says
Fabric me! My name is the Irish translation of my mum’s name, Joan. I love my name. It’s pronounced completely differently to how it is spelled, which can be fun when I’m abroad :)
Paula Meldrum says
Fabric me! My name is after my Dad – Paula after Paul – Boring I thought my whole life always wanting something more exciting like Roxanne! But now I embrace it and love it because I am named after someone I am so much alike. Ie My mom wanted to name me Heidi – SOooo glad I’m named Paula :)
Thanks for offering an awesome giveaway – would love to win in Canada!
Charli says
Fabric me! My name, pronounced Charlie, means manly. Ironic, since I am quite the girly girl. My grandpa picked it out because there was a country western singer he liked by that name who was also a woman, I believe. My parents wanted to name me Niccole Charli but Charli Niccole sounded better. I love my name. My mom offered to change it to Niccole for me when I switched schools when I was 7 I think, but I told her I liked my name and any teasing I got didnt bother me.
Koliti says
FABRIC ME!
When I was little (? second grade) I asked my dad what his name meant (his name is Koyo Okada and he grew up in Tokyo, Japan) – he said, “My name means a little leaf on the hill in the rice paddy”. I said, “Oh! What does my name mean”? (My name is Koliti Okada). My dad replied, “Your name means a smart-ass on the hill in the rice paddy”. Ha!
