It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Since 2007 I have gotten married, bought a house, graduated from college, started a “real job”, and started graduate school. The past four years have definitely been a transition into true adulthood, but I can honestly say that I have loved growing into the person I dreamed I would be.

“WEST ME!” I NO longer listen to T-Pain anymore, attend College parties (and play Flip Cup, Pong, etc), and instead have moved to Chicago, working 80 hours a week, planning for my wedding, and saving for a house!… which will hopefully have some beautiful West Elm pieces in it.

I hadn’t thought about it until you asked, but my life has changed dramatically since 2007. 2007: graduating college, living with a friend, trying to figure out how to be an “adult”. 2011: I may not have figured it all out, but now I’m lucky to share a home with my loving boyfriend (who would certainly enjoy some new West Elm purchases) and I feel I’m a few steps closer to adulthood.
