Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME
Wow a lot has changed since 2007. In 2007 I graduated college and moved to Chicago with my then boyfriend. We stayed for two years and got engaged while there! We then moved back to the STL to be closer to home/family. While planning our wedding we thought we should mix it up a bit and also build a house! We closed and moved in 17 days before our July 2010 wedding. Now we are a happy married couple with 2 dogs and learning to diy lots of things for our still semi-new home!

    WEST ME! :-)
4 years ago I was just starting out on my journey as a wife and I was working a different job that kept me in the office 60+ hours a day. Now I am even more happily married than I was as a newlywed, and I work a job that lets me spend plenty of time with my awesome husband. Oh, and I painted my first piece of furniture after encouragement from YOU GUYS!

In 2007, I was engaged, hard-working at my 9-5, and a new home-owner. Now, I’m a stay-at-home mom of 8 month-old twin boys, and our brood has nearly outgrown our house already. WHEW!

WEST ME in 2007 I had just moved from the desert to Illinois and was adjusting to the high humidity levels, spent most of my days at the mall avoiding it. Now I’m used to it and walked 2 miles every day all summer. I also have 2 kids and my own house with a fence and everything.

in the last 4 yrs of work, I’ve gone from temp assignments to a long-term temp-to-hire work, got hired by the company, was laid-off a year later, spent 1.5 yrs on unemployment, got called back to the same company for more ‘temp’ work and now I’m a ‘contract’ employee for said company (translation… no benefits). Sigh~

West Me! How are our lives different? Hmmm, so much has happened since 2007. We put on an addition, that is still not finished. My husband and I are doing the finish work-but we love it. My father passed away-another great DIYer and my youngest son was diagnosed with type one diabetes….We’ve had challenges but who hasn’t? We are still blessed with a roof over our heads and an amazing family. But some decorating moola from West Elm and a little inspiration from you all will go a long way! Have a great day!! Leigh
