Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME!!

My life is very different from 2007. I have a tattoo and belly ring now (yep…), I got another degree, I’ve moved 5 times, and I now have an awesome apartment all by myself (well, except for my dog, Snoopy). That needs decorating….

    WEST ME!

Four years ago today I was just starting grad school, a big relationship had just ended, and I was frantically searching for a job. Now I’ve finished grad school (two years ago), am engaged, have a dog, purple hair, and a tattoo. Oh, and I’m a librarian.

Totally different. I was renting, a couple years out of college and in a totally different line of work. Now I have a 1 year old, a newer job and a house and am sooo happy with both.

    WEST ME BABY! WhoooooooT!

Jeezly. Since 2007: I blew out an old knee, and got a new one, and ran a half marathon just to stick it to karma real good. I was fired, and hired, and hired again. I married my best bud (a Richmond VA boy). We bought a house. And now…we’re adding a little baby to the mix. He calls it “a joey” and it really is.

Love your blog. Come on Random.org! Yeahwhoooo!

WEST ME! West Elm makes me all warm and fuzzy.

Since 2007 I have: gotten a job as a performer at Disney World, graduated college, traveled the world as a performer for Disney Live!, started grad school for speech-language pathology, found an amazing guy, and became remotely obsessed with YHL. (By saying “remotely” it makes it sound way less creepy… right?….)

WEST ME! :D On the surface, my world in 2007 was profoundly different from my world now: different stage in my education (I was just starting college), different stage in a relationship (we had been dating for exactly a year and a half), new and different place to live . . . But in a lot of ways, that’s where I am again now, and I love it! I’m now (newly) married to that same wonderful guy, I’m just starting graduate school, and we’re making a new home together in a totally new part of the country. Life was good in 2007, and it’s certainly good now! Congratulations on four wonderful years of blogging, John and Sherry – it’s such a pleasure to follow your family. <3
