Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

On a side note – holy comments. When I first saw this this morning, it was like 2500 and I thought (well, a little better than 1 in a million odds). 6 hours and 6000 comments later. whoa!

    4 years ago I wasn’t single, but I also wasn’t married.
4 years ago, I traveled for a living. I kinda miss that. Kinda not.
4 years ago, I wasn’t a homeowner. Now I get to figure out why the garbage disposal is flooding my under sink area. Lovely.

    What a fun giveaway.

So much has changed since 2007. I made a career move. After working in public health for almost 7 yrs. I decided to go back to school and get my bachelors in nursing, as well as a masters in nursing. I now work as a family nurse practitioner. And along the way I got married!

    WEST ME! (pretty please?)

2007 is actually the perfect year to reflect back on because it’s the year when my fiance and I started dating and now we’re about to move in together as we plan our dream wedding and aside from donations from our parents (read: “we’ve been needing to get rid of this furniture for YEARS”) it’ll be pretty bare!

    Thanks!

West me! Pretty Please! My life is very different than it was in ’07. I was a stay-at-home mom rented an apartment. Now I live in a new (to me) house and I work with special needs students. We’ve lived here a few years now, but not much has changed with the house. West Elm could really help us make our dream house look like the house of our dreams. Thanks!!

    WEST ME

I spent a good part of 2007 pregnant and kid-free. We lived in a “25-footer” which is a house built on a half lot and is as wide as the one car garage.

Now I’ve got two rugrats and a house to call my own!!! Life is good!

My life has changed so much since 2007. We bought a house in 2009. It’s a fixer-upper too so this site has been a great resource for us. We are expecting our first child soon so a nursery is next on the decorating agenda. Big changes all around. I love how you two just figure it out as each new challenge comes up. Very inspiring.

I was just starting my 3rd year of college in 2007. I have since graduated, got married, moved, started a new job, resigned said job, moved across the continent, and started the immigration process to live in Canada permanently. It has undoubtedly been the most eventful four years in my life.
