Since 2007 we have purchased a “new to us” 120-year old house and are just trying to squeeze in every moment between two jobs and parenting two kids to make it our dream home.

What’s different from 2007 is that I got married, and went from working for the man to co-owning a video production and website design company with my husband.
Life is good. Now I just need my home to be furnished like an adult (I’m turning 35 on Wednesday and it’s still not there).

4 years ago I was a month into dating my husband and 2 year into a PhD. Now we live 3,000 away from where we started, I’m a year doctored and we have been married for over 2 years! I would say a lot changed in that time.

2007 for me was a lot like yours. We also got married on 7/7/07. We bought a house that wouldn’t be finished until 2008, and at the beginning of 2007 we got our chihuahua, Carlos.

WEST ME! Four years ago we became empty nesters when the last of our three kids left home. It can be bittersweet, but my husband and I are finding the time to do lots of things we couldn’t when our time wasn’t all our own. We’ve also drastically changed our eating habits now that we no longer have to stock the house with foods that appeal to a teenage palate. We became vegetarians for one thing and enjoy cooking together. And, shhh, we eat most of our meals in front of the TV because the kids aren’t here to call us hypocrites for doing so. :-)
