It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). West Me! In 2007 I met my boyfirend. It was the end of our junior year of college. I was about to move to NYC for three months for an internship. He came to visit all the way from Florida and that effort let me know he was the one! Today we live in Nashville and attempt your projects to beautify our home:)

WEST ME! In 2007 I was still working as a full-time dental hygienist after 33 years. I did a lot of art & crafts during my free time. Now I am “retired” (permanently out on Worker’s Comp) and doing a lot of art all the time. This was a very unexpected change but I’m enjoying it.

4 years ago I was in my first home with my first daughter who was 9 months old. We loved the neighborhood and our church group, but knew our small home (formerly a one-room school house built in 1880) was not going to fit our family forever.
We lucked out. Last summer an old couple passed away and their house (in the same neighborhood) was vacant. The Owners’ daughter met us and said that we were just the people her Dad would want to live in her childhood home. We moved in in July, and I just want to say thanks for helping me get a grip on what I’d like to do to make this new nest feathered for me, my husband and my Three little girls.
