Sad to say not much has changed for me since 2007! I have the same job and live in the same city and still have no boyfriend! haha I do live in a different apartment though (no roommate! woohoo!) so that is different. And I can say I’ve been to Europe whereas my 2007 self couldn’t say that. :)

It’s sad how little in my life has changed since 2007. But, since then I’ve done a lot more with my apartment (finally figured out I might be there a while) so the place looks really different. New furniture I built, a little accent paint and new rugs. And, I plan to continue do more of that, and this gift card could go a long way towards that.

I returned to school to learn about all things sciency, a big change from my liberal arts B.A. We got engaged, then married, then pregnant – about four years ahead of schedule. Now we are in the process of selling our beloved, and sometimes hated, fixer-upper. My husband recently accepted a new and improved job offer in our home state and favorite city, Austin, TX. Almost everything has changed for me since 2007. I had my dream job then but got laid off, survived 13 months of unemployment (barely), am not in a new job and have moved into a rental while trying to renovate and sell my old place. 4 years ago I was living in an old home built in 1901 that had been fixed up by an older man in the tiny college town I lived in. He didn’t want to see the well known home and beautiful property to be bulldozed for a newer home! That home was so sweet and charming but had a million things wrong with it… including backwards handles on EVERYTHING :) love that. Now, I’m in a 3 year old home that I own with it’s own set of problems and “fixer up-ers”! I would LOVE to use this West Elm gift certificate for a million things I’m coveting currently… :)
