It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). In 2007, I was still an impressionable college student whereas now I’m an impressionable graduate student. Because of that, all of my West Elm quilts are covered in pen marks and highlighter ink. It is a travesty that must be rectified.

West Me! In 2007 I was still in college living in a 350sq.ft. studio in San Francisco. Now I have my dream job at a design magazine and live with my boyfriend in an only slightly bigger one bedroom that is quite sparse. The problem working in design is that you see so much great stuff that you can’t afford. :p

Oh yeah…”west me” please ;) Our lives have changed in BIG ways since 2007…I also started my blog, con-tain-it; then I lost my corporate job as a controller and finally we downsized from our dream home with 3,800 sq.ft. to our current Love Shack with 687 sq.ft. and we wouldn’t change a darn thing about any of it!
