Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). 2007 was a good year! I worked a job I loved for the first half of the year (social worker for a private adoption agency). In the second half of the year, I got engaged and moved across the country to be near my soldier/fiance (first time living away from my beloved Dallas).
My now husband just resigned his Army commission and moved me back home to Dallas. We’re done with 3am mornings, deployments, moving….. and so happy to embrace hometown living!

I, too, have had a lot of changes: graduated college, married, moved away with my husband, bought our first home,adopted our sweet puppy named Myla, and worked as a teacher for three years now!
P.S. I think you two should consider Myla as a baby name! We love it so much for our pup that we almost wish we had saved it for a daughter! There are so many fun nicknames that have resulted and feels so soft–even when I’m calling it throughout the neighborhood when she spots a squirrel! :)
