Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). In 2007 I found out I was pregnant. And in the same year he was born. My not-so-little-anymore baby will be turning 4 this December. He and I have since moved 2 times and are much happier on our own. We just moved into a new house and are busy trying to make it as much of a home as possible.

4 years ago today I was a young 20 something just trying to figure out things in Manhattan – my sole confidante was my boyfriend of a little over a year and I was fairly certain I’d spend my life with him. Four years, a broken engagement and broken heart (he cheated on me with one of my friends) and months of couch surfing later, I am about to move into a new apartment. New furniture would be a great start and a way to forget he ever sat on that old couch of mine!!

That first year was HARD but we have such a beautiful girl that I can’t imagine life without & who is doing great!
