Four years ago, my husband and I were still rocking the whole living in sin thing. I was probably 20 lbs lighter and didn’t have a single grey hair (now I have found 4 total).
I also think it was 4 years ago that I heard of West Elm and found your blog close to when you guys started – although I can’t remember how – maybe TheNest? Anyhoodle – thanks for fanning the decor love flame for the last 4 years.

The best change is that my sweet little girl started preschool in 2007 and is now a full-fledged third grader. Holy heck, how time flies. But I’ve loved every minute and continue to enjoy seeing her grow and change. I also have been doing more home improvements as a result of some of your fantastic projects inspiring me. West Me, please! In 2007 I was still a student in college living with my fiance in his 3-story townhouse with our Siberian Husky, Denali. Evan was working from home as a professional poker player/my sugar daddy! Ha! My things do change. We’re now happily married and broke…living with his Mom, my mother-in-law since we’re now married. Evan is now back in school to be a doctor (at 26…I guess he’s a late-bloomer). A few beautiful pieces from West Elm could go a long way since I’ve gone from “owning” 1200 sq-ft to maybe a 100 sq-ft bedroom, at best, that I can call “my own-ish” since I share it with my love.
