It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). I got married in 2007, and since then, we’ve purchased our first home, added one new furry member to our family (in addition to the original one), and decided to add another (non-furry)member to our family. I also left a job that I hated and moved to a new job that I love. Can’t get better than that!

In 2007, I was in the middle of a horrible divorce, trying to put the pieces of my live back together. Now, I’m remarried to a wonderful man and we have a 7 month old baby who charms us everyday. Four years ago I was still in college. I lived in a dorm, not an apartment, and I hadn’t yet bought anything off craigslist. My my, how things have changed. West elm would be my first REAL piece of furniture (aka not craigslist or ikea or handmedown!)
