It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Four years ago my fiance (now husband) and I packed up our stuff into one car and headed cross country to Portland, Oregon. We love it out here and can’t believe how different our life is from growing up in Michigan! The only thing that’s really stayed the same is owning that sad old car we drove out in…and we’re planning to buy a new (to us) car TOMORROW :]

Four years ago I was a full time homeschooling mom. Today I have two girls in college and two boys in high school, who still homeschool, but every afternoon they go to a private school and then to sports practice.
All this means I have a ton more time to myself!! Today I am painting my concrete floors, can’t do that with six people walking around!

4 years ago I had just gotten married & our house looked like a bachelor pad – in a serious way. Fastforward 4 years, our house is in a little better shape & doesn’t have folding chairs in the living room that are considered “furniture”!!
