***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***
It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…
- PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
- TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

2007 seems like it was 15 years ago….. A lot has changed for me, I finished graduate school, got engaged, got married, got a fur-baby puppy, landed my first job, landed my second job in my home state and have truly become a DIY’er in our new home. I don’t know what I would do without your blog!

Since 2007 our family has grown from three daughters to include two son-in-laws and a potential third. Two of three daughters purchased homes so my husband and I have been very busy doing DIY projects for all three girls and their guys.

In 2007 I was a freshman in college, living up the single life and having a great time with my newfound freedom! Now, four years later, I’ve graduated from college, moved out of my parents’ house, gotten a dog, and have the most wonderful man a girl could ask for! Now all I need are some goodies for my apartment! WEST ME!

I was living in Califoria, recently engaged, planning a wedding and working as a school counselor. I am now married, living in the midwest, at home with my daughter and we are expecting our 2nd child in just a few weeks. I would LOVE to finally update our room and make it look like a couple of grown ups live there.

Four years ago I was living in a tiny apartment with a friend, working in social services, trying to catch the eye of the cute guy downstairs. Four years later, I am married to that downstairs neighbor, and I am a stay at home mom to our one year old son. The last four years have been the best of my life!

Life is totally different now. I’ve graduated grad school, and landed a great job. Unfortunately, budget cuts have landed me right back to being unemployed (as I was in 2007). I’m also married, and have a cat, which I said I would NEVER have a cat EVER!

2007 – I had just started dating my BF, was still in college, didn’t know anything about design or DIY really.
2011 – We’re getting ready to celebrate 5 years in November. I have a degree and I’ve DIY’d so many things I can’t recall them all! Love the blog :D

In 2007 my then-boyfriend, now-husband and I graduated from college and both started jobs in finance (great timing, I know). Since then I’ve changed jobs twice (sometimes it takes a while to find the right one!), married my best friend, bought a house, and got a dog! Wow, I sound like an actual adult when I type it all out…scary. I absolutely love West Elm and desperately want to upgrade the window treatments in our house!
