It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). My entire life is so completely different from 2007. I was engaged and unhappy, living in another state away from my friends and family. Work was my only solace and I devoted all of my attention to it daily. I finally ended my relationship, packed up my things and rented temporarily from a friend while I put the pieces of my life back together. Over the past three years I’ve enjoyed a very healthy, loving relationship with my fiance, Mike and we recently bought a first home together in November 2010. We’ve both spent the majority of our free time since then decorating, renovation and generally improving our little ranch. I’ve since been promoted in my job and enjoy my role there much more now than ever before. I have to say that I’ve employed several ideas for our home from your site which I check daily before starting my day here at the office.
