It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). I rarely enter giveaways on your site b/c the chances are ridic slim, but WEST ME b/c I think it might be the only way to get the $$ to actually make over my bedroom. (Just never seems to be a priority in the list of all the other stuff the house needs!) With a steady job and our first child on the way in February, my life is completely different now than it was 4 years ago. Plus, with the baby on the way, we’re finally renovating and restyling our house in preparation: new paint, new couch, new desk, about to lay hardwood floors. Whew!

In the 4 short years since 2007 I have graduated from college, lived and volunteered abroad for a year, started my first “big-girl” job, moved into a new apartment, had two separate roommates, and become very interested in home decor! Got a HUGE promotion, bought a house, started dating my contractor, got engaged to my contractor, married my contractor, and now are proud parents to 1 four-legged black lab! Let’s see, in 2007 my boyfriend and I were a year in to being long distance relationship while he finished up university 400 miiles away.
Since then, he’s graduated and moved back home (it was only two years) and we moved back in together (we lived together before he transfered schools).
I’ve had a large job promotion and he started up his own screenprinting side business along with being recently hired to teach things he’s passion for to youth and adults.
We’re just starting to look at houses and start that whole process, which is exciting.
