Fab Freebie: West In Show

***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***

It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):

West Elm Moodboard

Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…

West Elm Blog

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

West me! Let’s see four years ago this navy wife was living in South Carolina. Since then we’ve adopted our cute puppy-son, moved three times, been through some tough life stuff and now are happy to be back living on the west coast and getting to spend time together again.

4 Years ago I had just graduated high school and started college, and now I’ve graduated college and am living back at home with my parents. Yep, one of the “boomerang” kids. I would love to win so I can spruce up my room a little bit!

Since 2007, I have started my career, fell in love, got married, moved, now pregnant and expecting our first in November. We could definitely use some wonderful items from West Elm! I have the chandelier that Sherry picked out in our dining room and LOVE it.

Ah, 2007 was an amazing year for me. I had my daughter that year, learned that plans don’t always go the way you want and that life goes on anyway…

I rarely enter giveaways on your site b/c the chances are ridic slim, but WEST ME b/c I think it might be the only way to get the $$ to actually make over my bedroom. (Just never seems to be a priority in the list of all the other stuff the house needs!) Hmm . . . since 2007 I’ve had 2 kids, and moved twiced, bought our first house, and our first minivan that wasn’t on death’s door. LOL.

With a steady job and our first child on the way in February, my life is completely different now than it was 4 years ago. Plus, with the baby on the way, we’re finally renovating and restyling our house in preparation: new paint, new couch, new desk, about to lay hardwood floors. Whew!

Thanks for all of your inspiration, information and helpful tips – I have learned so much!!

WEST ME! In the 4 short years since 2007 I have graduated from college, lived and volunteered abroad for a year, started my first “big-girl” job, moved into a new apartment, had two separate roommates, and become very interested in home decor! My most recent project was refurbishing an old bench to put in my bathroom. One room down (for now) and about 5 more to go!

Let’s see, in 2007 my boyfriend and I were a year in to being long distance relationship while he finished up university 400 miiles away.

Since then, he’s graduated and moved back home (it was only two years) and we moved back in together (we lived together before he transfered schools).

I’ve had a large job promotion and he started up his own screenprinting side business along with being recently hired to teach things he’s passion for to youth and adults.

We’re just starting to look at houses and start that whole process, which is exciting.
