It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Oh boy…. 2007: married 3 years, just bought a condo, no kids, painting walls bright green. 2011: married 7 years, just moved into a rental after losing condo to foreclosure, 1 kid and another just a few weeks away, walls already beige so looking for bright decor to spice them up. How times change! Good and bad, wouldn’t trade it. :-)

In 2007, was when many of my husband’s health problems started to flare up. Since 2007, he’s had a number of surgeries, ER visits, and the like. 2011 should hopefully be the end of the majority of the issues.

West me! Sorry to be a downer, but the biggest difference between 2007 and now is that in 2007 my mother was still alive. She died in June of that year and I miss her every day.
