Fab Freebie: West In Show (Continued)

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well, after a blog-busting (literally) 18,018 entries across two posts (the first one got overloaded after reaching 10,680 entries so we had to start a second one) we finally have one lucky winner in what has become our biggest giveaway to date. In case anyone was worried about how this would all be tallied, we used random.org to generate a random number between 1 and 18,018 and located the comment that correlated with that number across both posts (although you guys can no longer access the comments on the first post, they’re all visible to us in our WordPress dashboard, so we were also able to confirm that our winner did not have any duplicate entries as we always do). So let’s get to the good news: the winner of a $500 West Elm gift card is… CATHERINE (who must be a Richmonder because she, like us, is sad that our local Short Pump West Elm store is no longer open). Congrats Catherine – and happy shopping! Not that we’re jealous. Wait, we are.

Wow, so apparently we hit comment capacity on our big $500 blogiversary giveaway from West Elm. We didn’t even know that could happen! It appears that the original post is too overloaded to accept any more comments, but the ones that were entered will still be counted (so please don’t enter again on this one if you already entered that one or your entries will be invalidated).

We’ve created this post to continue accepting new entries (from folks who didn’t enter the first one) until the giveaway ends at 8pm EST on Wednesday, September 21st OR when this post reaches 10,000 comments, whichever comes first. To recap, we’ve included the entry instructions and details below.

West Elm Moodboard

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!) courtesy of their new blog Front & Main
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

I got married in 2007 to my boyfriend of 10 years. Long time, I know. At the time we lived in hot Tempe, AZ and now we live in awesome Denver, CO. I’m in grad school now and gearing up to be a librarian!

Gosh, four years ago I was finishing my last year of college (which at that point I thought would be my second-to-last year of college) and now I feel like I’m so career-oriented and settled in my post-grad life. Man… to think what could happen in the next four years…

    WEST ME!

Four years ago I was single living in Boston as a spacecraft engineer. Today I am married to an AF pilot, living in North Pole, AK (that’s actually the name of our town!) and unexpectedly starting a Master’s Degree. In that time I spent 6 months in Europe, moved twice, had a wedding, and have met dozens of brand new people in this new life of mine. It is crazy how things change!

Good morning to my fav website that I check every single day of my life!!! PLEASE WEST ME! I could really, really use some decorating help and some cheering up. What has changed for me in the last two years of my life is that my adult daughter is seriously ill. I work full time as a hospice social worker and also provide occasional care for my daughter. I spend a lot of my free time creating a sacred and peaceful nest. My latest project was painting my hallway turquoise – California Breeze by BM. It is so happy and FUN! Thanks for your blog and all your tips! You rock!

4 years ago my baby was just turning 2 and our house was still bare as could be, nearly 3 years after moving in. That same house is still woefully empty – grad school loans, etc don’t leave much extra wiggle room in the budget. :)

Everyone has a story mine is nothing special just looking to be inspired and with life being an up hill climb which most of us are still climbing it would be an over the top treat to be the West Elm giveaway winner so WEST ME!

    Since 2007:
We adopted our daughter in 2008! She will be 3 in a few weeks October 2nd. We named her Poppy and our cup runneth over with love for her! She makes us over the moon happy!

We lived in our first home for 8 years and in 2009 we purchased my husband’s grandparents home keeping it in the family but a big fixer-upper. We are climbing up hill it is just going at a turtle pace.

Thanks for all that you both do for all of us! A BIG Congratulations on 4 years!
