Fab Freebie: West In Show (Continued)

Well, after a blog-busting (literally) 18,018 entries across two posts (the first one got overloaded after reaching 10,680 entries so we had to start a second one) we finally have one lucky winner in what has become our biggest giveaway to date. In case anyone was worried about how this would all be tallied, we used random.org to generate a random number between 1 and 18,018 and located the comment that correlated with that number across both posts (although you guys can no longer access the comments on the first post, they’re all visible to us in our WordPress dashboard, so we were also able to confirm that our winner did not have any duplicate entries as we always do). So let’s get to the good news: the winner of a $500 West Elm gift card is… CATHERINE (who must be a Richmonder because she, like us, is sad that our local Short Pump West Elm store is no longer open). Congrats Catherine – and happy shopping! Not that we’re jealous. Wait, we are.

Wow, so apparently we hit comment capacity on our big $500 blogiversary giveaway from West Elm. We didn’t even know that could happen! It appears that the original post is too overloaded to accept any more comments, but the ones that were entered will still be counted (so please don’t enter again on this one if you already entered that one or your entries will be invalidated).

We’ve created this post to continue accepting new entries (from folks who didn’t enter the first one) until the giveaway ends at 8pm EST on Wednesday, September 21st OR when this post reaches 10,000 comments, whichever comes first. To recap, we’ve included the entry instructions and details below.

    Since 07 I have graduated college, met my current boyfriend who i moved to TX & back to VA for and now we are living in an awesomely old apartment that needs some decor help!!

    Let’s see. In four years I… graduated college, got into a long term relationship, got two cats, went from brunette to redhead, and got an awesome full time professional faculty job at OSU… It’s been a good 4 years!

    Since 2007 I’ve had 3 babies, gotten a puppy, hubby’s become self empolyed, started a new ministry, started homeschooling, and am about to purchase our first house! Man its been busy!

    WEST ME! A lot has changed…in 2007 I started a relationship with someone I had hoped to be my husband. We even moved into a new house around the same time you guys purchased your current house…but happiness was not in the offing. This Friday I am packing up and moving out of state, alone and staring all over. While very sad I am also looking forward to the new adventures that await. I sold most of my stuff when I moved in with my boyfriend so a gift card to west elm will go along way in helping to get me resettled. Congrats on your anniversary, may you share many many happy years blogging.

    I have (almost) graduated college, lived in 3 places since then, (now with my boyfriend who’s house we’re redoing for my blog), and have a much better understanding of the world and the people in it. :)

    WEST ME :] gosh, since 2007 i have: graduated from college, moved across the country to start my first my first big-girl job, got laid off from that one (boo economy) and landed my dream job soon after (silver lining ;)). I also moved to 4 different cities/apartments in 4 years, but things have finally started to settle: My boyfriend & I recently moved in together in our first house!

    West me! 2007 was a bit of a blur as we had a 1 year old who still would not sleep much at night despite mommy needing to go to work in the morning. Ah, sweet little man… Worth every minute.

    Four years ago I was starting medical school (and flunked my second test). Now I’ve graduated and just moved to a new state and started residency! Things are definitely a little different!

    WEST ME!! So different now – I am married, living in another state, in the house that we bought, with our first baby on the way in less than 3 weeks, working at a more fulfilling job but for less pay. But I think I have the same haircut… :)

    I have graduated nursing school, gotten my first “real job”, got engaged, got married, got our first puppy (a goldendoodle named Enzo), bought our first house, and got my first promotion to a management position! A TON has changed for me since 2007.

    Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am super excited about this win. I’d like to thank the creators of random.org, the fine people at West Elm, and most especially, John & Sherry!!!! I have no idea what I am going to buy yet – but I can promise you that I will be thinking about it all day (rather than doing work . . . you know, at my job). Just want to say that I love this blog. I have been reading it faithfully since 2009, and it has been an inspiration to me in decorating and DIYing my own home. Plus I have a small crush on Burger. You guys are the best!! Oh! Also, please give Clara a hug for me (maybe you should leave out the part that it’s from some crazy commenter on your blog though). THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
