Fab Freebie: West In Show (Continued)

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well, after a blog-busting (literally) 18,018 entries across two posts (the first one got overloaded after reaching 10,680 entries so we had to start a second one) we finally have one lucky winner in what has become our biggest giveaway to date. In case anyone was worried about how this would all be tallied, we used random.org to generate a random number between 1 and 18,018 and located the comment that correlated with that number across both posts (although you guys can no longer access the comments on the first post, they’re all visible to us in our WordPress dashboard, so we were also able to confirm that our winner did not have any duplicate entries as we always do). So let’s get to the good news: the winner of a $500 West Elm gift card is… CATHERINE (who must be a Richmonder because she, like us, is sad that our local Short Pump West Elm store is no longer open). Congrats Catherine – and happy shopping! Not that we’re jealous. Wait, we are.

Wow, so apparently we hit comment capacity on our big $500 blogiversary giveaway from West Elm. We didn’t even know that could happen! It appears that the original post is too overloaded to accept any more comments, but the ones that were entered will still be counted (so please don’t enter again on this one if you already entered that one or your entries will be invalidated).

We’ve created this post to continue accepting new entries (from folks who didn’t enter the first one) until the giveaway ends at 8pm EST on Wednesday, September 21st OR when this post reaches 10,000 comments, whichever comes first. To recap, we’ve included the entry instructions and details below.

West Elm Moodboard

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!) courtesy of their new blog Front & Main
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “WEST ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

    WEST ME!!!!

Whoa, sooo many changes since 2007. This time in 2007, I was still pregnant with my first… anxiously waiting for my wonderful boy to make me a mother. I was living in Connecticut (I’m in KY now). My husband was in the Military, US Navy, on a submarine and he wasn’t even home at this time last year. I was actually waiting to find out if he’d be home for the birth of our first child. (Thankfully, he was granted permission to stay behind!)

It’s amazing how much can change in 4 years! Here’s to another 4 wonderful years for me and you all! ?

West me. :) Happy 4th Anniversary! I found your blog via my neighbor’s home improvement blog a couple years ago, and just LOVE you guys! Sometimes if I just need a perk in my day I will check out your blog to feel the happiness and love. :) To answer the bonus question, my life is different from 2007 in almost every way imaginable: new city (back to Portland from DC), new (first) house, new cats, new job, new (used) car, etc. . . . Thanks for sharing your journey with so much honesty and heart — you are wonderful! And super amazing — manually approving tens of thousands of comments?? Incredible! :) Many more years of happiness and success to you!

I’m married and I’m a new mommy. I love my 2011 life vs. my 2007 life. I guess everything gets better as I get older. I love that Oprah said your life begins at 40. I guess that means i still have 10 years until my life truly begins. That makes me feel younger than ever.

WEST ME! 2007 was probably the hardest year of our marriage-we both lost our jobs and had to move out of the house we loved and wanted to raise our children in. But, now, we’ve learned so much, paid off almost all of our debt, have an amazing 2 year old and a great marriage. We’ve learned to live in the moment and to count our blessings!

I no longer have a baby in the house. No more diapers or bottles. All three kiddo’s bathe, dress, eat, wipe(lol!) and buckle up on their own. Yep, life is a bit easier these days. =)

    WEST ME PLEASE!

4 years ago we were first time renters, fresh out of school, juggling 4 jobs between the two of us and trying to start a new company (and envision that it would ever be possible for it to be successful!). In the last four years we’ve tripped up and gotten scuffed up learning to navigate life, and now run a successful company full time (recently became both of us!) from home.

Now that we’re entirely home based (oh yeah, and as if our plate isn’t full enough, opening another home based business), I’m quickly realizing how much working 70+ hour weeks over the last several years have taken a toll on our “home” space – and how depressing it is!
We’ll put that card to good use!!

As well we are sharing our adventure in adoption. I would love to win this contest to get some awesome new pieces for our home to go along with our room reno’s.
    Thanks!!!
