Fab Freebie: Under The Sea

Raise your hand if you know what a bathymetric chart is. I didn’t before this giveaway, but it’s basically like a topographic map for what lies underwater. But the more important thing to know is that the married duo behind Below the Boat turns these charts into gorgeous, laser-cut, hand-assembled works of art. They’re beautifully intricate and fascinatingly detailed. And they’ve got lots of bodies of water from the east coast, west coast, and even some lakes in between.     BOAT ME! I’m all about speedboats in Cape Cod Bay … just enough waves to make it fun, but not too scary! I like to stay close to shore because open water terrifies me.

    Boat me! I would love to ride on a sailboat! My boyfriend lives on a houseboat and also has a 32 foot cruiser, so the sailboat would be something different!

    BOAT ME! Yeah, well, maybe not so much. Early canoe accident + non-swimmer = land travel favorite mode of transportation. BUT–I do venture onto a ferry boat once a year to get across Lake Michigan with my family. (That counts, right?) :)
