Raise your hand if you know what a bathymetric chart is. I didn’t before this giveaway, but it’s basically like a topographic map for what lies underwater. But the more important thing to know is that the married duo behind Below the Boat turns these charts into gorgeous, laser-cut, hand-assembled works of art. They’re beautifully intricate and fascinatingly detailed. And they’ve got lots of bodies of water from the east coast, west coast, and even some lakes in between.     BOAT ME! I would love to go out on a yacht. Nothing crazy fancy, but something with great places to lounge with friends.

    I have always been ready to be out on the water… From Jon boats and pontoons to house boats and canoes. It doesn’t matter I love them all and there’s always a memory.

    I’d love to have a week on a house boat – A friend has a family reunion on a giant one on Lake Shasta (CA) every year, and it looks incredible.
    For the record: The idea of being turned over in a kayak gives me the heebie jeebies.

    BOAT ME! Oh, I am a sucker for maps. And yay, boats! The smaller, the better. We did one cruise and it was too much. Anything more than a handful of people is too much.

    Last time I was on a kayak, a fish jumped out of the water and hit me in the head….so I’d opt for a larger vessel next time. Sailboat, maybe?

    Boat me! My boyfriend has a tiny little motorboat called “Liki Tiki” that we use to go fishing in – life jackets definitely required!
