Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

    TILE ME!

OMG! I am planning my downstairs bathroom right now! For the last 10+ years we have used the room as more of a storage space than a bathroom and I am dying to rip out the carpet (yes, carpet in the bathroom, yuck!), take down the wallpaper and start over. I could so use $1500 at The Tile Shop!

TILE ME! My whole house needs a tile update. The kitchen and entry area badly need cracked (and very out-dated) tiles replaced! The tile color is so ugly and weird, that they look like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks :(

TILE ME! Let’s see…what needs new tile…how about the kid’s bathroom (tile from the 40s), the guest bathroom (gold-flecked mosaic tile I’m guessing from the 80s), the master bath (previous owner just left it incomplete), the kitchen (what’s there is literally falling off the walls) aaaaaaand the laundry room (it’s just ugly). We could really use this!

TILE ME! We could really use a new tile surround in our master bath. We have been saving in order to replace the tub, which was seriously damaged by the previous owners. And a new tub = a new surround. So thanks for the chance! :)

    TILE ME!

I love my 1940s house…for the most part. But numero uno on my hate list is the carpet in the full bathroom. Seriously, carpet? Of course with the house’s age there is not an exhaust fan (yet) so carpet only helps to absorb all moisture and smells. Other than not being practical, it’s also a huge eyesore. It is brown. I’m talking like white pants sitting in chocolate milk brown. Not good. Needless to say, saving up for tile is at the top of our home renovation list!

By the way, I adore what you have done with your kitchen. I love how you have taken a collection of ideas and inspiration and made it completely unique and tailored to your family’s needs. Good luck as you finish the last details!

    TILE ME!

I would SO love to renovate my big bathroom. It’s quite sizeable and has lots of potential, but it’s got pink and blue tile halfway up the walls all the way around the room (Square pink w/ rectangle blue border), pink and blue hex tile floor, blue bathtub (no shower head), blue toilet, blue sink, and pink and white vertical stripes on the drywall above the tile. Visitors gasp in shock when they see it. And it’s original to the house (circa 1950), so you KNOW it’s put on there with that thick metal mesh you had in your old house.

    Eep.
