Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

Our house was built in the early 1960’s and while all the rooms could use some love, I’d have to say I would love to replace the flesh-colored tiles in our master bathroom. That’s right. Flesh-colored.

TILE ME – We will soon begin a kitchen reno, which will most certainly consist of getting rid of the old (not-so-lovely) tile and bringing in the new (ahhh, lovely to look at) kind of tile!

TILE ME!! We just bought our first house and are about to be newlywed. We bought a forclosure that has TONS of potential but needless to say we are on a tight budget. Not only do both the bathrooms need love they have fab 80’s orange mosaic floors and I have been keeping an I on the tile shop ever since you posted about your penny tile. Thanks for all your inspiration and keep it coming!

I would use it to retile our bathroom floor (and kitchen!) the owners who owned the house before us had a dog and I swear, the more I wash the floor the more the smell of dog pee arises from it and we don’t have any pets! PLEASE TILE ME, I’m sick of trying to cover it up with candles only to have my bathroom smell like dog pee flowers.

    TILE ME!

This is a subject fresh in my mind, because we had a plumbing issue and ended up having to replace the whole tile floor in our upstairs bathroom. The subcontractor who did the job gave us cheap tile and a terrible tile baseboard thing and i HATE HATE HATE it but don’t want to make the insurance company pay for it to be redone (and the insurance deductible ate up our savings, so we can’t afford to fix it ourselves). Ugh.

    TILE ME

The real question for my house is actually, “What couldn’t use some fresh tile?” Both the kitchen and bathroom are plagued by hideous vinyl flooring that I’m certain is from the early 90’s at the very latest. The walls of our shower/bath combo are of the cheap-o plastic variety, certainly not tile. And this thing you call a back splash? What’s that? Around here we like to let our sink mishaps splash directly onto the drywall.

Long story short: tile would be awesome.

    TILE ME!!!

I have a really cool little NYC apartment, and have been having a ton of fun decorating it! But the bathroom is…. terrible. Navy blue tub, toilet and sink with brassy gold fixtures… and then burnt orange and tan tiles on the floor. It’s nightmare inducing. I’d LOVE to update it to better suit my style with a little tile work that might win some points with my landlord!!
