Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

    TILE ME!

Our shower could totally use to be tiled. Right now we have an old Claw foot tub. I agree that they are cool, but they are totally not practical. It has a decent enough shower attachment, but you have to have shower curtains 360 degrees around you while showering, and it makes me feel like i’m in a scene from Dexter!!! Also, we nearly break our neck getting out of it because its so high up with the claw feet. I know I know, I agree claw foot tubs are beautiful and cool, but I would still love to take it out and install equally beautiful tile and a modern tub!

Hmmm….between the 1950s currently purple and orange carpeted kitchen, or to replace the 50’s plastic clashing blue and maroon tiles in the bathroom. How fun it would be to fit in a final DIY improvement on our home before the Hubby leaves for his deployment.

    TILE ME!

Where do I begin? Our foyer with its cracked, peach-colored tiles. Then I would do my kitchen with its beautiful peel and stick vinyl tiles that are coming up because whomever put them down didn’t make sure the subfloor was level. Doo dah doo! Then if I had anything left over, I’d do my master bathroom in beautiful slate. Sigh.

TILE ME! We have needed to tile our master bathroom since we bought the house over 10 years ago but kept putting it off because we had babies or had to re-side our house. The tiles are literally falling off the walls so hubs and I are using the kids’ shower. I long to shower in my own bathroom again!

Tile Me! We just crossed the 6 month anniversary in our first house and have, maybe oversealously, torn into our bathroom! We love the challenge of digging in and making the place “ours” but have hit a few sangs. First, our boiler has struggled through the season and is now kaput. Second, this weekend we noticed that our recent wind storms have um, “relocated” most of the shingles on one side of our roof! Luckily it is tarped and protected now but new boilers and new roofs are killing the bathroom project right now and all we want to do is take a shower in a bathroom that dose not have plastic tile, plexiglass, and duct tape as its main decorating features.

In the house we’re looking to buy, there is no tile on the walls of the bathroom at all. On top of that, it’s the only bathroom and its currently only a tub. Yes, this is totally the perfect spot for tile.

    P.S. Please pick me, haha.
