Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! We’re buying a new house in the next couple of months (due to a relocation offer at work). All the homes we’ve looked at in the NYC area (out in NJ) that have been in our price range have desperately needed some tile work. We haven’t yet found a house, so we don’t know exactly what we’d use it on, but I know we’d find a good use for it.

Tile me! We just realized this weekend that we can’t put in a new vanity because the new one has a smaller footprint than the current vanity. There isn’t tile under there, so a new vanity now requires a whole new tile floor for the bathroom. Isn’t that the story of half of every home improvement project…I started to do x but ended up having to do y,z, and p before I could even start on x…

We just bought a house and three out of four bathrooms need a total overhaul – and so does the kitchen. Sad face. I dream off shiny white tile instead of dirty kitchen walls and beige bath tile. Make me a happy girl!?

TILE ME! Please, oh please. The original bathroom in our house has linoleum that began to peel at a seam a month after we moved in. Now there’s a gap my toddler could fall into! We learned our lesson and put tile in the new bath we added on later, but I’d love to correct this. Thank you for the chance!

My parents’ kitchen is in sad shape. The flooring has been there since the 1970s (or maybe 60s?) when the first homeowners installed it. To say that it has not held up well would be an understatement. Previous owners did not treat it kindly and it shows. There is no rug big enough to hide it all. No matter how much my mom cleans the floor it always looks filthy. She would be beyond thrilled to have new flooring!
