Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

    TILE ME!!

We just bought our first house, and it’s kind of a fixer-upper. The bathroom shower desperately needs to be re-tiled; there are areas without grout and/or tile, and we are nervous what kind of mildew problems might be waiting for us. This would be such a big help!

What couldn’t use some fresh tile in our 100-year-old house?! The bathroom is currently stick and press tiles, the kitchen is cracking linoleum, and our shower tile was definitely a (poorly done) DIY job. I would be so ecstatic to win this!

    TILE ME!

There are so many places in my 1950s-era home that could use new tile; I’d probably start with the original plastic (!) 4×4 tiles that are loosely glued to the wall in our kitchen in the name of a backsplash. I’ve already painted over them, because they were godawful baby pink and blue, but they’re starting to fall down from the heat and steam. Yuck.

TILE ME! I would love to redo our kitchen floor, which is hideous linoleum. The pattern is this awful fake-stone stuff that always looks like it has splotches of dirt everywhere – in fact, when we first moved in I scrubbed some of the splotches so hard it stripped the finish. Oops.

Tile Me! My kitchen currently sports a very country-esque fruit theme tile backsplash that hopelessly clashes with the rest of the house. We really need a more modern look, and to do so that fruit needs to be harvested, stat!

TILE ME! Our pantry really needs a decent tile floor. It was originally the kitchen, so when we rebuilt the kitchen in the dining room (after we’d tiled the floor in the den to make it the dining room)we ended up with some great cabinet space, but if I could get the floor done I’d be one step closer to moving my washer and dryer up from the basement, which would be super-cool!

I could think of many placed to put new tile, but the bathroom (along with a tub replacement) would make our house SO much more inviting and relaxing, considering that is our main bathroom! I want to be able to show it off, not be embarrassed about it!
