Fab Freebie: Tile Shop ‘Til Your Drop

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org had quite the task of sifting through so many entries this week, but it has randomly selected our winner as… Kelley (who has so many ideas for how to use the gift card, including a fireplace surround, kitchen backsplash or master bath floor). Congrats!

Ready for this? It’s not only one of our biggest giveaways EVER, but it’s also a giant excuse-buster when it comes to that tile project that you’ve been putting off. This week The Tile Shop is giving one of you a whopping $1,500 prize. In case you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, allow me to demonstrate that they’re not:

TileShop Giveaway 1500

That’s enough spending money to snag over $1,000 worth of tile and still have enough to get all of the installation tools you might need to DIY the job. The Tile Shop has even put together a little shopping list for you – it includes buckets, a wet saw, a notched trowel, a margin trowel, a rubber float, a mixer bar, tile nippers, knee pads, rubber spacers, flexible grout admixture, grout, a sealer kit, caulk and thinset. Wow, that was a mouthful. But at least it’ll be a free mouthful for one of you!

TileShop Giveaway Board

  • PRIZE: $1500 (!!!) to spend at The Tile Shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what could use some fresh tile in your house? Wanna finally add that backsplash to your kitchen? Or is your shower begging for a new surround? Maybe your mudroom could use a prettier floor or your fireplace could stand to be updated?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: Save 10% with code YHL10
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of The Tile Shop.

Oh my goodness, if you could see our kitchen floor… The laminate that was on our kitchen floor when we bought it is the most disgusting thing. It’s in super bad shape — there are holes in it, paint splatters everywhere, and it’s peeling up around the edges. Ug. There are not enough area rugs to cover up its hideousness. There’s a desperate need for new flooring!

I’d put tile in our two bathrooms. The previous owner used peel-and-stick “tiles” that have shifted and exposed the bare floor underneath- gross.

I have a relatively new (to me) house. When we purchased it, nearly every room had a project that was almost finished. The work that has been done is great, but winning would allow my husband and I to actually finish all of the tile work!

What doesn’t need tile in our house? We moved into a little fixer-upper last month. Kitchen and bathroom linolium needs to be replaced as well as the backsplash in the kitchen and laundry room floor.

TILE ME! I’ve got a couple of close friends who are looking to sell their condo next year, and I want to help! They’ve spent a lot of time and hard-earned cash fixing up the rest of the place, and all that’s left now is the bathroom. The bathroom whose floor is covered in gross old penny tile from the 70s! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Anyway, if I win I will help them get it done. :)

Tile Me!! Since all I have in my house are shifted peel and stick tiles and those creepy plastic shower surrounds, I don’t know how I could even decide which to do. I’d probably tell my husband it had to be used for our kitchen backsplash just so I can finally convince him to get new countertops, too!

Tile Me! We have recently painted all cabinets in the kitchen and have no clue what to do with the backsplash! It is “faux” brick and I hated it so much my husband decided to paint it different colors! I am stuck and it’s now been that way for months. I have a rectangle of disgusting builder carpet in my great room that needs to go. I want to replace it with tile, but it is impossible to match the tile the builder used. I would have to replace tile in the whole room, which includes: kitchen, dining, living room, and entry.

Tile me PLEASE! The shower in our master bath is in desperate need of some new tile (original to the house). We also tried to re-tile the floors in there after we first moved in. Not so good. A second chance at that (now that we’ve read great tips on your blog and Tile Shop’s website) would be tile-riffic :)
