My gut has been telling me since before you were pregnant that this one would be a boy (right!) and you would name him Jacob. Whoa, I would probably dance my way down to you guys from Newfoundland for pick-up if I won this giveaway. So awesome! Alas, that’s an urban blog legend. Since this is our primary residence (and not zoned as a business location, since it’s residential – nor would we want it to be because then if we ever sold we’d owe a bunch of money to the government) we don’t write off anything except for normal business supplies like printer ink and stamps. All of our projects are for our home, and therefor are a regular out-of-pocket expense for us, just like they are for everyone else. We do get to write off things like health insurance and other “small business” things like that though (like business insurance or gas if we travel to speak at a conference or something). We have an awesome accountant who keeps us straight :)
