Fab Freebie: The FLOR Seasons

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

And the one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Laura (who says “Me likey fall. The air smells so fresh and clean!”) Congrats!

Everyone’s favorite modular carpet square maker is back for another giveaway, and this time it’s bigger and better than their awesome 2009 prize. This time FLOR is gonna hook our winner up with enough tiles to build a custom 8 x 10′ rug – which also breaks down to be enough tiles to create a runner and a smaller area rug if that’s more your style. Oh, you’ll be able to pick from ANY of their 100+ colors and styles too. Here are some of our favorites below:

FLOR Giveaway March

  • PRIZE: An 8×10′ area rug in any style from FLOR (roughly 35 tiles of any design)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FLOR ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us which of the four seasons is your favorite and why. Are you into hot summer days at the beach? Bundling up on a cool winter night? Or is the arrival of spring the best thing ever in your book?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 23rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States and Canada
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from FLOR.

Flor Me!!!!….I live in Iowa and the cold winters seem to be all everyone ever complains about…we live in Iowa people!..it snows and gets cold. I find winter to be glorious! It is a perfect season to rebond with your family. Nothing like a nice blizzard that cancels work and leaves a whole day of play for me and my loved ones. I love to cook and eat and I find that winter tends to lift the bar off dieting..enabling me to cheat more..or at least thats my excuse..I also get more crafting done and the inside of my house seems to be more emaculate. To top it off…you dont have to worry about yard work and keeping up with the landscaping…all in all…winter has its perks!!!!

Don’t just FLOR ME, FLOR MY STUDIO! I design and sew in a modern art studio in Annapolis, MD. As gorgeous as it is, it’s pretty minimal and the concrete floors keep the high ceiling room COLD, COLD, COLD. On any given day of the week, you might see me wearing my down jacket… inside… all day. A little rug that can be fit into my odd shaped room would be life changing (and pretty to boot!). I think I’m looking forward to summer… because then my office will be perfect temperature and besides, summer clothing is always more enjoyable to design too.

Spring is the best time of year. You get to “un-winterize” the house. Start your gardening and getting the patio ready for summer cook outs. Bye-bye winter!

    FLOR ME [please]!!!

As a Washingtonian for the past 8 years I have to say spring without a doubt. Although we’re about to have a short hiatus due to cold/rain, the first time you walk outside after work and it’s still light enough to see the cherry blossoms and other flowering trees will always do it for me. The warming tempertures bring out all those wonderful smells and everyone hides away heavy winter coats in the depths of their closets.. Sigh. It just makes me want to wander around the city, always remembering to stop and smell the flowers.

I know I’m just getting in under the wire but we’re moving this weekend and are still completely rugless so a nice set of Flor tiles would really do the trick. Thanks and looove the blog!
