Everyone’s favorite modular carpet square maker is back for another giveaway, and this time it’s bigger and better than their awesome 2009 prize. This time FLOR is gonna hook our winner up with enough tiles to build a custom 8 x 10′ rug – which also breaks down to be enough tiles to create a runner and a smaller area rug if that’s more your style. My favorite season is fall. The colors, the sounds of the leaves blowing in the wind. The SMELL! Love the smell of leaves burning in the fall and the way the leaves “crunch”. Growing up at the beach, I have developed a serious love for the sweet hot summer. I crave summer – those days spent at the beach, and I mean entire days. Those days where you wake up, pack a cooler full of lunch (sandwiches & watermelon, of course), and stay at the beach until you’ve reapplied sunscreen three times and the sun is just about to set. I live for those days.
Last year my life took a turn, and I found myself living 10 hours from the nearest beach. While I still loathe the freezing temperatures and gray days of winter, I have developed a new love for spring and fall. Because of the moderate year-round temperatures in my beachy hometown, I never had the pleasure of seeing the leaves turn to bright reds and yellows, and I never fully experienced the joy of the day when it’s 70 degrees outside for the first time in four months. In my new city, there are four perfect months in the year – and although I only get those fabulous beach days when I visit home, I have found great peace in the beautiful days of moderate, heavenly 70 degrees.
