Fab Freebie: The Bold & The Beautiful

We’re always on the lookout for new art these days (lots of empty walls!) so we’re excited to bring you this giveaway from Barcelona-based illustrator Judy Kaufmann. Her bold prints – sometimes colorful, sometimes stark – have a charming combo of simplicity and intricacy. Here are a few of our favs below, but you can of course browse more in her Etsy shop.

    My husband & I had so much fun on a recent trip to Miami that we’ve decided to make it happen & move there. He’s got a job interview today and we were just in Miami 2 weeks ago! I’m so excited/ scared/ nervous!

    Any Eastern Shore Virginians know, or remember, that there was once a nude beach on Chincoteague Island? Yep, when I was 20 and 5 months pregnant with my oldest (she’ll be 30 this year) three girlfriends and I spent the afternoon on that beach. I’m pretty fair skinned, so my friends kept putting sunscreen on my belly so the baby wouldn’t get sunburned. It was the best, and most hilarious, beach experience ever!

    I’M BOLD! Why? Because I moved from Chicago to Australia to meet with my now-husband, and never left. Best decision I ever made, even though everyone thought I was crazy! :)

    I’m bold because last year I have traveled to the other side of the world on my own. I have ended a relationship after eight years. I have cut my hair from waist long to a bold bob cut. And I have moved to a new city on the other side of the country. So I guess all that is left is a love confession and a sky dive ;-)

    I’M BOLD!

    Well, compared to everyone else on these posts I’m very tame but on a business trip in France my sister and I drove (sister drove, I navigated) from the heart of Paris to the Loire Valley to a tiny town in the countryside. Has anyone else driven there? Crazy!

    We went skydiving for my husbands 26th birthday and I also cut off all my hair this past summer just cuz I felt like it.

    I’M BOLD

    I feel that one of the bravest things I’ve ever done is skiing. I was 13 and on my school’s ski trip in California (a long way from home in London). I’m not exactly the most coordinated or graceful girl, so I was pretty worried about it. But I did it. Not well, but I did.

    I also got skiied into half way down a mountain (any skiiers will know that the more skilled watch out for those that are lower down, so this woman should never have hit me) and when the lady who did it stopped, I thought she was going to apologise. Nope, just taking pictures of the view! But that’s a whole other story…

    I’m bold! Actually, the boldest thing I have ever done was to stand up to my dad! I’ve only done that once in my life – and that was the only time he apologized to me.

    I’m Bold!! When people think of me, ‘Bold’ is the last thing that comes to mind LOL I guess getting married within 13 months of meeting my husband (of 8 years)–some might consider that bold :)

    And the boldest thing I’ve done recently, aside from buying a house, was scuba diving down 104 feet to see a World War II airplane that was on the ocean floor.

    Took a chance on a cute fighter pilot which has taken me to places in the world I never thought I would go….just wish we would stop moving so often so I could put up curtains ;)

    I’M BOLD!

    I’ve gone skydiving, rock climbing, ice climbing, white water rafting, motorcycle racing, eaten water bugs, scorpions, grasshoppers, live shrimp salad and more. But the scariest thing I have ever done is become a parent! My little boy is 3 months old and we need some artwork for his nursery!
