Fab Freebie: The Bold & The Beautiful

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to the bottom to see who won!***

We’re always on the lookout for new art these days (lots of empty walls!) so we’re excited to bring you this giveaway from Barcelona-based illustrator Judy Kaufmann. Her bold prints – sometimes colorful, sometimes stark – have a charming combo of simplicity and intricacy. Here are a few of our favs below, but you can of course browse more in her Etsy shop.

  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!

Random.org has chosen our winners and they are… Melissa (who boldly bought some bright red faux leather fabric for an upcoming project) and Stephanie L (who went whale watching in a tiny boat despite her fear of the ocean). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Judy Kaufmann.

I’m BOLD, after having a very BAD, i mean really awful first pregnancy (was in the hospital for 6 weeks one time, and spent a total of 12 weeks there out of the 40 weeks you are pregnant) decided that I would have another. 4 years of AWFUL infertility followed with EVERYONE saying..maybe its better since you had so much trouble with your first pregnancy…I conceived. Our family now has the most amazing little boy and the pregnancy was a total breeze not even morning sickness!!! If I had not been brave and given up on conceiving our family would not have this amazing guy!

I’m BOLD! I started graduate school (Library Science) and bought/moved into my first house all in the same week…..I had been working towards both dreams for over a year, they just happened to come together at the same.exact.time. The best part was being so busy that I had NO time for being stressed or overthinking.

“I’m bold!” I let my husband cut my hair about 3 years ago. He did such a poor job that I had to shave all my hair off and start all over again. Completely bald summer 2008.

    I’M BOLD!

I lived in Japan for a year and then, moved to NYC without a job lined up. I don’t always feel brave, but whenever I tell someone those things, they always act like it’s the bravest thing they’ve ever heard of!

Also, I totally love Judy Kaufmann’s prints!

I quit my job and changed careers when I was six months pregnant and my husband was unemployed – it meant a move across state, 6 weeks of UNPAID maternity leave, and a month and a half of being uninsured (and eating canned peas bought on a credit card)… longterm it was still the BEST decision our family has ever made! we are so much better off and saving up a downpayment (which is why I drool over your blog ever day!).

I moved across the country to be closer to a handsome boy I’d only known for 30 days. Yikes. We’ve since married, and continue to make it-sounds-crazy-but-you-know-it’s-right decisions.

Although, we frequently discuss how none of our children would ever be allowed to do that!
