This week’s giveaway comes from a site that so chock full o’ good stuff that it was a challenge to hone in on the perfect freebie items for this week. We’re talking about Artful Home, a virtual window into over a thousand artists’ studios that gives you access to 12,000+ original art pieces – from wall art and sculpture to furniture and accessories. It’s kinda like Etsy, but contributing artists are all professionals who are selected by a panel of art adjudicators.
So we sifted through the site and fell in love with several pillows and, since we couldn’t settle on just one, we’re letting this week’s lucky winner choose from the four pillows shown below: the nature-inspired linen pillows by Mariah Wren or the graphic, eye-chart pillow by Heather Lins. I know, tough decision, eh?

and… my favorite piece of art currently in my home is one that I put in my bedroom. Is like a forest in the colors of green, different types of blues… and brown. Love the combination of those colors!!

and my fave piece at home right now is fabulous sock snowman our then-3-year-old made at pre-school. It’s a sock stuffed with rice and tied with yarn to make the different sections then glued onto a paper plate with cottonballs for snow and glitter all over for the sparkle effect.
She was so excited to bring it home and show it off that it has (since January) acted as the dinner table centerpiece regularly.

My favorite piece is from Agra, India that I picked up last year. It is laser cut paper with a Moorish tile type design. I had it framed between two pieces of glass and my blue office wall paint shows through. I love it!

My favorite piece of art is a print from an etsy seller – it’s a robot listening to earphones. I got it for my fiance for his birthday the summer we fell in love and it’s framed. We started a wall of robots after that and have loads of robot prints and paintings now!

Wow…I can’t believe how many comments have already been posted! I read somewhere that people sometimes just google for blog giveaways…do you think that’s true?
Anyway, my favorite purchased art is in my bedroom, around the bed. My favorite made art isn’t very good, but I made it four years ago in an attempt to copy a painting I saw in a magazine. Recently, it was in House Beautiful and I finally found a source for a print. It’s on my birthday list. :)

My fav piece of art is easy: it’s a detailed design my grandpa made of a play house for “Tanya and the little baby.” I was the little baby! 25 years later the gorgeous design (he was an artist and an architect) hangs proudly on my wall.

My favorite piece of art in my home is a set of 5 shadow boxes each featuring my grandmothers’ crochet hooks wrapped with wire to create a wonderful installation piece. My friend Zeb made it for me and is probably my prized possession. Every time I look at it I think of my grandmother’s hands.

My favorite art piece is an oil painting our 18 year old daughter, Elisabeth, surprised us with this past Christmas. She painted the view outside her bedroom window which was a winter scene of our backyard shed built circa 1900, silk poinsettias in the window boxes, forsythia bushed laden down with snow, deer footprints in the snow, even the broken split rail fence, BEAUTIFUL!! She is off to art school in the fall.
